Catherine Anderson
Catherine is a South Africa-born, Charlotte-based photographer and artist. She moved to Charlotte in 1997 after holding a position as partner in a prominent law firm in South Africa. She has a Master of Liberal Arts degree from Winthrop University. Her photographs of children in the rural areas of South Africa was showcased in the exhibition “The Children of Ixopo: Hope and Survival in a Time of AIDS” in 2006 as part of the “South by South Africa” series of exhibitions. Catherine has a close connection to Woza Moya Project, a non-profit organization caring for orphaned and vulnerable children in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, where most of her photographs were taken. Catherine was a founding committee member of “Mothering Across Continents”. She currently creates and teaches from her studio in Charlotte.

Trudi Lacey
Trudi Lacey, MS, CPCC, ACC, CPT is a certified executive coach, president and CEO of Lacey & Co., LLC a comprehensive executive coaching firm that specializes in strategic initiatives, performance coaching, talent development and organizational leadership training.
Lacey is also the Managing Director for Progressive Talent Group specializing in Executive Diversity searches, a division of L & J Associates a nationally known, Charlotte based executive search firm supplying senior executives to Fortune 500 companies.
In addition to serving as president and CEO of Lacey & Company, Lacey is also the head women’s basketball coach at Queens University of Charlotte. Formerly, Lacey served as head coach and general manager of the WNBA Charlotte Sting.
An active member of the Charlotte Community, Lacey serves on the board of directors for A Child’s Place, the National Kidney Foundation, the Johnston YMCA and she is a Founding Mother of Mothering across Continents, which addresses the HIV/AIDS pandemic in South Africa.

Cindy Quinlan
Cindy is owner of Thangami International Marketing, “Building Bridges through Commerce.” She is a former director of marketing and communications for CSX World Terminals, LLC, where she was involved in strategic global business development, including joint-venture activities in South Africa. She has also been involved in new business development for several global corporations, as well as development and delivery of a US Trade and development Agency consulting project in South Africa and the KwaZulu-Natal province. She was an active participant in the 2005 “South by South Africa”exposition in Charlotte. She holds an MBA from Wake Forest University.

Dianne Stewart, APR
Dianne heads Charlotte-based BSA PR & Marketing. She moved to Charlotte in 2001from South Africa to help open up an office and serve as VP of Marketing and PR for ExecuRead. During 2006, Dianne was the project manager of “South by South Africa – Crafting Cultural Understanding,” a multifaceted and collaborative arts, crafts, history and tourism development initiative involving 10 Charlotte area institutions. Dianne was a Founding Committee member of Mothering Across Continents in Charlotte. In South Africa, she ran high-profile communications initiatives and events for DeBeers, The Anglo American Corporation, historic negotiations between the African National Congress and the South African government, and the 2000 Millennium Celebrations with President Nelson Mandela. She holds a Masters in Music from The University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, and is the Board Chair of the Epic Arts Repertory Theatre in Charlotte, NC.
